Preface of the 12 summit foundation:

Due to the increasing environmental imbalances, global warming, climate change, air pollution, deforestation, erosion, the living standards of the people living in the Himalayan region have become difficult and their problems of living, employment, education, health and housing are increasing.

Tourism development in the Himalayan region and this to assist those involved in various occupations in the region, including in the field of work, and assist in rescue and humanitarian work during the crisis that may arise from natural disasters and various other kinds of epidemic.

To play a role in proper development of the region, to raise awareness, to protect the environment and to promote public awareness, to identify the areas of economic income, to study necessary areas, to research, to play appropriate role in the development of appropriate policies, rules and laws, economic, social and cultural progress of the people of this region.

To assist in the improvement of the material for the purpose the 12 Summit Foundation is a nonpolitical and nonprofit social organization has been formulated under the Legislative Organization Registration Act of Nepal.
